Hospital Authority leaks patient information to police
Pierre Chan, lawmaker representing the Medical functional constituency, indicated in a press conference that he has received multiple complaints from medical staff over the past few days, with regards to the Hospital Authority leaking information of hospitalized protesters to the police on June 12 and 13. This represents a serious violation of the Patient’s privacy code and endangers their safety. Several hospitals and medical staff reported to him that any computer in the A & E department contains a list marked “for the police” as long as one inputs a date, and the list contains personal information of patients that are tagged with “mass assembly”.
