Aimed and fired rubber bullet directly at a protester’s head (3) Permanently blinding a male teacher

At demonstrations around the Legislative Council in the afternoon of 12 June, police repeatedly fired their guns without official warnings at protesters’ head, causing injuries in the eyes of at least two protesters, severely damaging their eyes and vision. There were protesters spitting blood and fell to the ground after being hit by unknown rounds. A driver of RTHK was left unconscious after being hit by a tear gas canister. The police was criticized for adopting excessive force and unsuitable weapons against these victims, as they were clearly under no risk or attack from the protesters.
