Registration and Electoral Office announced the final election results. Among the 452 seats up for grabs, the pan-democrats were victorious in 387, winning 85% of the seats, while the pro-Beijing camp has only 60 seats left. Since most of the district councils are now dominant by pro-democrat camp, they are expected to win 117 seats in the committee what chooses future chief executive.

The pro-democracy camp now has control of 17 out of 18 district councils, which means they will very likely to gain the seats of president and vice-president. The only council held by the pro-establishment camp was the 18-member Islands district, where eight seats were handed out automatically to pro-establishment rural chiefs.

The pro-democracy camp won all elected seats in Wong Tai Sin and Tai Po district councils, 17 over 20 seats in Yau Tsim Mong, 14 over 15 seats in Central & Western, 32 over 35 in Eastern, 15 over 17 in Southern. In New territories, the camp won 28 over 32 in Tuen Mun, 40 over 42 in Sha Tin.
